A beat 'em up set during the Annihilation Wave whose second DLC, The Siege of Castle Doom, adds a new run-based mode and two playable characters.
Marvel Cosmic Invasion is a side-scrolling beat ’em up developed by Tribute Games and published by DotEmu, styled after 1990s arcade brawlers. Players choose two heroes per level and switch between them mid-battle using the Cosmic Swap tag-team system.
The story follows heroes from Earth and beyond, including Spider-Man, Wolverine, Nova and Captain America, as they respond to an assault led by Annihilus and the Annihilation Wave. The text states that each hero has unique abilities and team-up attacks, and that upgrades and rewards unlock as players progress.

The second DLC adds Invisible Woman and Doctor Doom as playable characters and a replayable mode that the developers say has more than five times the main game's encounters.
