Shadow of the Road

Players lead a team of rōnin, spies, and mystical beings through a civil war between Shōgun Tokugawa’s forces and Emperor Mutsuhito’s army, backed by the British East Nippon Company. The party escorts a mysterious boy with uncontrollable powers while new heroes join along the way.

Player choices shape relationships and the story, including forming bonds, breaking friendships, and mending family ties. Combat includes yōkai and steampunk contraptions, and the text notes that each character has distinct backgrounds and skills.
