About the game
Sunken Crown follows Princess Isolde as she descends into the flooded capital of her former kingdom to reclaim a crown that has been lost to the tides. The city is vast, interconnected, and partially underwater, and its water level is the key to everything.
Floodgates scattered across the map let you raise or lower the water in each district, turning swimming routes into walkways and dry halls into submerged mazes. Abilities layer on top of that system, from a tidal dash to a diving bell you can summon to breathe in the depths.
Gilded Cartridge’s hand-drawn art and orchestral score have been highlights of every showing so far.
Release dates for Sunken Crown and Skyhook, a first proper look at Abyssal Choir, a surprise Wildgrass demo, and the rest of the news from three days on the show floor.
Announced at Autumn Showfloor, the pledge sets a shared accessibility baseline for every new release from studios including Saltmarsh Games, Little Paper Kite, and Quiet Static.
Small Hours confirmed its road-trip drama for early 2027, Little Paper Kite finally showed its next game in motion, and Sunken Crown revealed a new district.
