Autumn Showfloor 2026 wrapped Saturday after three days of stage presentations, booth demos, and the usual crush of release-date announcements timed for the holiday and spring windows. Here is everything worth knowing, in roughly the order it happened.

  • Citadel of Echoes opened the show with a 25-minute stage demo that moved through two of the Spire of Aunvar’s twelve wings without a loading screen. Morrow Keep’s game launches October 29, and Northgate says it is close to going gold.
  • Wildgrass got a shadow-dropped demo on Nintendo Switch 2, PC, and PlayStation 5 covering the first in-game spring. Progress carries over to the full game, which arrives November 19.
  • Abyssal Choir, Bracken & Bone’s follow-up to Hollowmere, showed six minutes of uninterrupted gameplay inside the flooded Thalassa Deep station. It is still dated for March 2027.
  • Sunken Crown has a date: April 22, 2027, on all four platforms, with a physical Switch 2 edition from Paper Lantern Publishing.
  • Skyhook narrowed its window to the third quarter of 2027 and announced a closed alpha for this winter.
  • Ferrous showed a mission in which a mech lost both arms and finished the fight by kicking a crane into a foundry wall. Weld & Wire’s game is still dated for February 11, 2027.
  • Project Halberd, Ninth Orbit’s tactical shooter, appeared only as a 40-second teaser, but the studio confirmed the working title will change before the end of the year.
  • Gloamwood made its first public appearance with a four-player co-op segment in which the changeling briefly turned on the rest of the party. No release window yet.

The quieter highlights

Away from the main stage, Varda used the show to unveil the Arc Pro controller, and fourteen independent studios signed a shared accessibility commitment called the Open Controls Pledge. Both are covered in separate stories. Corvid Devices also had Pocketforge X units on the floor running Velocity Unbound and Tidebreak; our full review went up this morning.

Everybody brought something playable this year. Nobody came with a logo and a promise, and you could feel that on the floor.

The most-asked question at our booth visits was about Chrome Saints, which was conspicuously absent from Grey Harbor’s presentation. The publisher said only that more is coming “very soon,” which we read as a hint that a beta announcement is close.
