Starfall Tactics is getting its first paid expansion. Ashes of Vantor launches December 3 on PC and Xbox Series X|S for $14.99, Ninth Orbit and Halcyon Six announced. It adds a new campaign set aboard Vantor, a derelict shipyard the Perennial discovers while searching for replacement drive parts, and a fourth faction, the Tithe.

The Tithe are a scavenger cult who have been living in the shipyard’s dark sections for decades. They fight with magnetic grapples that pull units across zero-g compartments, which turns the game’s existing gravity systems against you: a squad member in the open can be dragged out of cover and into a vented corridor in a single turn. Ninth Orbit says the campaign runs around eight hours and introduces a new playable class, the Breacher, who can cut new doorways through bulkheads. The Tithe also behave differently on the strategic layer: instead of holding territory, they raid the Perennial’s hold between missions unless you post guards, which forces hard choices about who rests and who stays on duty.

A free update, version 1.2, arrives the same day for everyone. It adds:

  • An optional undo for your last move on Story and Standard difficulties, unavailable in Ironman.
  • Full controller remapping on Xbox and PC.
  • A colorblind preset for cover indicators and gravity-field overlays.
  • Faster enemy turn animations, with a toggle to skip them entirely.

Vantor is the place where everything the crew has learned about gravity stops being an advantage. The Tithe have lived there long enough to be better at it than you.

Ninth Orbit confirmed that a separate team is handling the expansion, and that work on its tactical shooter Project Halberd is unaffected.
