Bethesda has presented two more modder-made experiences for Fallout 4 beyond the recently released FEVer Dreams: a RobCo-themed mini-campaign called Command Override and a cosmic horror adventure, Fallout 4: Fathomless, set for 2027, according to Polygon.
Polygon reports that all of the projects were built by modders working with Bethesda and are available to players on PlayStation 5, Xbox and PC through Bethesda’s Creation platform.
Command Override centers on the robotics company RobCo. Players explore the company’s headquarters, hacking and taking control of robots along the way. Polygon says new gear includes a Ghost Pilot Suit that lets players see through walls, plus a Beam Gun that does extra damage when it overheats but also exposes the player to more radiation. Because players can pilot robots directly, they can use those machines’ weapons too. The project’s description says players can “Access everything from the Sentry Bot’s missile pod to the Assaultron’s eye laser during combat.” Polygon says the project also has a live-action advertisement.
Fallout 4: Fathomless takes place entirely underwater. Players explore a mysterious crater on the sea floor, search shipwrecks and run into new eldritch creatures. Polygon says it will be voiced, like FEVer Dreams, and was shown in Bethesda’s Fallout Day video. No release date beyond 2027 was given.
FEVer Dreams brings back Courtenay Taylor and Brian T. Delaney, who voiced Fallout 4‘s two protagonists. Players pick one of them, and the other spouse talks to them throughout. The story starts with the player trapped, unarmed and apparently infected with a strain of the Forced Evolutionary Virus. According to Polygon, the dungeon plays like an escape room built around puzzles, though it still has some combat, and it digs into the lore of the series’ infamous bioweapon.
