Part 1 of the Spec IV update for Gran Turismo 7 is now available to all players as a free download, Sony announced on the PlayStation Blog. In the same post, Sony gave a first look at the DualSense Wireless Controller – Gran Turismo Limited Edition, which it is releasing to mark 30 years of the series.

According to the post, the update went live at 11:00 pm PDT on October 14, which was 7:00 am BST and 3:00 pm JST on October 15. It adds six cars, the Sportsland Sugo circuit, new Scapes locations, new Car Viewer features, a new Experience mode and six new World Circuit events. Sony noted that you need an internet connection to download the update.

These are the six new cars:

  • Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo (Brand Central)
  • Ferrari F355 Berlinetta ’94 (Used Cars)
  • Honda Civic Si Group A version ’87 (Legend Cars)
  • Mazda RX-Vision GT3 Evo ’26 (Brand Central)
  • Honda Step WGN Spada Premium Line ’23 (Brand Central)
  • Citroën 2 CV 6 Charleston ’86 (Used Cars)

The cars cost in-game credits, which you can buy with real money or earn by playing. The blog describes the Xiaomi car as an electric hypercar designed to balance low drag with high downforce. Players who don’t own the game can try it through My First GT, which is free on the PlayStation Store.

The limited-edition DualSense has racing stripes, motorsport-inspired graphics and a textured front plate that looks like carbon fiber. Polyphony Digital CEO Kazunori Yamauchi said the controller “celebrates the journey we have shared together.”

Sony said the controller will be sold globally in limited quantities. The recommended price is $84.99, €84.99, £74.99 or ¥12,480 including tax, though retailer prices may vary. Pre-orders open at participating retailers on October 22 at 10:00 am local time, and the controller launches globally starting December 10.
